离婚

最近很多人问我，为何不结婚。
我想了一下， 问了自己为什么要结婚。
想了很久都没有答案。
硬要有个理由的话，应该是太懒了， 太老了，没什么冲动。哈哈。
还好老妈不会来到这里 。。

严肃来说的话。
这半年来，看了很多亲朋戚友离婚了。
至少有四对吧。
都是有一方不能把持自己，对曾经许诺终身的对方不忠。
是经不起诱惑的考研吧。

世上什么都变，爱情也如是。
所以结不结婚已没有那么重要了。
是吧。

Remedy for happiness

Dr.D said that happiness is just like a shadow which cannot be captured nor detained. Rather, one should focus on achieving the object, which is ‘well-being’. Where there is well-being, there is happiness. Three months back, I managed to convince my little bro in trying to quit smoking. He smoked since his early teen, maybe 12 years back?  I had promised to reward him on the 100th day after he quit smoking but I totally forgotten about it. haha. Then, last week I received a call from my 29 years old bro demanding the 100th day gift. 

These are what I got him, custom made Tees. Hope he likes them and hope I have the honour to print the 1000th, 10000th tees for him =)

Wisdom tooth extraction

Heard many bad experiences of colleagues and friends about it.
I applied for a week leave but my kind supervisor has given me two weeks off. He thinks I need more than one week to heal  >,<

Fear then built up when the date got closer.
And I started to find excuses in trying to postpone the surgery.
Can I drive after that? Who is going to drive me to the drug store to get the pain killer? Experiments are still running.. I really need to get my thesis done. The tooth has not given me any trouble so far why do I need to find trouble?? I am staying alone now, no one is going to cook for me after that. By then, I started to understand why some elderly refuse to do the annual medical check-up.  It's because of fear, fear of unknown. Really torturing me.

Fear disappeared when I decided to trust the dentist. He is professional. When he advised to get it done, it needed to be done.

Fear vanished when I realized physical pain is more bearable than mental pain (fear of unknown).

Got to remember this experience.

Friends have been asking me, "why must we make new year resolution? I won't do that just because everyone is doing it." A typical cool, generation Y's response towards social norms.
I pondered upon this question for awhile.

Because we are careless/ unmindful and we forget things.
Because we get carried away so easily by day to day mundane life until we miss the big picture, the purpose of life and what really make us happy.
New Year would be a good life's checkpoint for us to reflect, to learn, to thank and to change.

每天都有类似这个的Free tours。
难得的是，讲解人都是热爱历史的研究员。

Don't forget to pay a visit to the museum bookstore too.
I've found some treasure there. haha.  

Visitors were evacuated from the museum because of the fire alarm.
Luckily, no one was injured and there was no damage.
But, what an experience to me. haha.
